What is the RCA?
The Retailer Competency Assessment (RCA) is a powerful development tool for all Shell-branded Dealers and Retailers. It helps you to drive service station performance by finding your best opportunities to improve.
RCA defines the skills, knowledge and behaviours that successful Retailers use to achieve great results. It helps you to decide what you need to focus on, based on your current work practices – and guides you in putting together a simple, practical action plan for growth.
How do I use it?
First – complete the questionnaire. Be honest in your answers and consider carefully how you handle each task.
Next – discuss your answers with your Territory Manager and agree on your priorities for action. RCA will suggest an action plan, based on the answers you give. You can edit this plan to reflect what you most need to focus on.
Finally – carry out the actions in your plan, using any resources suggested by RCA where needed. Go back to the RCA questions, to update your answers and show the changes you have made. Use RCA to review your practice regularly, to keep driving your performance further.
